The arrival of the chilly winter months gives us a great excuse to revive our hair with a new hairstyle or colour.
With that in mind, the team at HAIR Lab have researched the latest hair trends to give you inspiration for your next hair style.
We’ve seen a move towards two key looks so you’ll need to make a choice: Layers or a blunt cut!
When it comes to hair colour, we’ll be saying farewell to the platinum blondes and pastel colours that dominated over summer, and hello to richer reds, coppers, chocolate brunettes and golden blondes.

Short Layered Hair Trends for Winter
Give your short hair a makeover by giving it layers for a boost of volume and texture. Short hairstyles should be a little bit messy and tousled. Or be bold and choose an edgy style with the sides cut extra short or shaved or cut into a blunt asymmetrical style.
Winter Hair Trend for Bobs & Blunt Cuts
The bobbed hairstyle has been a key look for 2015 and is likely to reign supreme during 2016. Wear it short and blunt with a very straight fringe. Or add layers which can be styled into a more messy, slightly curled style. If you have longer hair, you can also go for a longer bob which looks fabulous with really blunt ends.
1970s Trend for Long Layered Hair
Throughout 2015 we’ve seen fashion take on a 1970s vibe with suede, corduroy, tassled bags and floppy hats making a firm comeback. When it comes to hair, the trend continues but with a 2015 twist. If you’re old enough to remember Farrah Fawcett, it’s time to reinvent her shaggy layered hairstyle but don’t go too wild on the flicked fringe!
