How to Colour Your Hair Rose Gold or Silver Grey

At our hair salon in Basingstoke, our expert hair colour technicians will advise you on the process for colouring your hair rose gold or silver grey.  We have created a basic guide on what you are to expect when colouring your treatment.
Step 1: Bleach Your Hair Platinum Blonde

As blonde hair acts as a starting base for both the rose gold and silver grey hair colours, your hair colour technicians will begin with bleaching your hair to a platinum blonde or a light blonde shade. The lighter the hair, the more vibrant the tone will feel.

 Step 2: Add A Toner

Toners are a great help when removing unwanted brassy undertones.  They come in a variety of colours, however, a purple toner is commonly applied before dyeing your hair silver-grey to help counteract the yellow undertones.

Step 3: Dye Your Hair Rose Gold or Silver Grey

The final step is to add your desired shade of rose or grey hair dye. It will take approximately 30-40 minutes sitting time before the dye can be washed out with a colour safe shampoo.

How to Look After Rose Gold or Silver Grey Hair Colour

Washing your hair infrequently will help prolong the life of your new hair colours. Make sure to use a colour safe shampoo when washing.
